Here is a list of the basic documents that you will need to obtain your Russian visa:
These should be posted to one of our dedicated visa specialists, at the address shown below, to be checked and forwarded to the appropriate embassy.
  • Valid passport (2 blank pages & 6 months validity beyond the expiry date of the visa).
  • 1 x Recent passport sized photo (please do not attach this to the form)
  • 1 x Completed application form.
  • A tourist voucher and a tourist confirmation document stamped and signed by an authorised person. They can be obtained through your hotel or an approved travel agent who deals with trips to Russia and should be valid for the entire duration of the trip. The stamp and all details should be clearly legible. The voucher should also show the exact dates of entry and exit.**
  • If you would like us to obtain the tourist voucher on your behalf we can do this.**
  • Invitation issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry or its regional representatives or by an appropriate Russian Federation Migration Service branch. The Invitation must contain the official seal and legal address of the host institution, a document registration number and date of registration, a signature and name of the official authorised to invite foreigners to Russia, purpose of the visit, dates of stay and names of persons invited. For a multiple entry visa, you are required to submit the original invitation, for single and double visas, copies of the invitation in particular cases may be accepted, though the embassies immigration officer may ask you to present the original invitation.*
  • Tourists who are self-employed, company directors, working from home or unemployed need to provide bank statements for the last three months which have a current balance of a minimum of £100 per day for the duration of the visit. Please note that if you wish to provide online banking printouts please make sure they will be certified and stamped by your bank.
    Please note that the requirement to produce bank statements DOES NOT apply to retired persons.
  • Private visa applicants must supply a letter of invitation. This must be provided by the person with whom they are staying with in Russia and be approved by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
  • Visa fee (call to enquire).
  • 1 x Travel Visa Company client declaration form – signed and dated.
  • Pre-paid self addressed special delivery envelope required for the safe return of your passport.
